The Art of the Book: California Book Artists
In honor of African American History Month, the library is hosting an exhibition of beautiful fiber art and paper quill artwork by artist Patrice Monteiro. Paper quilling is a unique art form that uses thin strips of coiled paper and glue to create colorful and vibrant pieces. The exhibition will include paper quill-style portraits and abstracts, along with pieces inspired by books and nature. This exhibition will be displayed through Sunday, February 27.

This special collection was created to showcase books that are beautifully designed and produced, using both traditional and unusual techniques. The efforts of both student and professional contemporary book artists are included, and the scope is international. Individual works are on display throughout the Library on a rotating basis.
